Cinelli Launches HoBootleg Geo: An Expedition-Ready Steel Adventure Bike

Italian cycling innovator Cinelli has introduced its revamped HoBootleg Geo, a robust steel-framed adventure bicycle specifically crafted for the demands of long-distance expedition riders and off-road enthusiasts. This iteration boasts a geometry influenced by rigid mountain bikes, coupled with an abundance of mounting points to accommodate all bikepacking necessities.

The HoBootleg Geo, retailing at £2,199, is equipped with a Shimano Cues 1x11 drivetrain, a BSA threaded bottom bracket, WTB ST wheels with Shimano hubs, and WTB Ranger tires. A key design philosophy behind this model is ease of maintenance, featuring external cable routing, a significant advantage for riders facing unexpected repairs in remote locations. Furthermore, the bike offers extensive customization options with multiple mounting points for rear pannier racks, downtube storage, mudguards, and a 6-eyelet fork. The dynamo-compatible Columbus Futura Adventure fork also includes a multi-rake system, allowing riders to switch between 45mm or 50mm rake to fine-tune handling characteristics. The frame supports a suspension fork and boasts UDH-compatible rear dropouts for future-proofing, along with generous tire clearance for up to 3-inch tires on 29-inch wheels. Finishing touches include a Selle Royal SRX short-nosed saddle and Cinelli's Adventure Curve flared handlebar, with the bike available in sizes from XS to XL and a 'Desert Mud' color scheme.
