Kali Protectives has launched its new Kru full-face enduro helmet, a product that promises to revolutionize the market with its unprecedented breathability. This innovative helmet features a unique 360° titanium chin bar, a design element meticulously developed over ten years to overcome the common issue of restricted airflow in traditional full-face helmets. The company emphasizes that riders no longer need to compromise between optimal ventilation and crucial head protection, as the Kru helmet seamlessly integrates both, setting a new benchmark for mountain biking gear.

The inspiration for the Kru helmet's distinctive design originated with Kali founder Brad Waldron, who observed the titanium face guards used in youth hockey helmets. This sparked a decade-long endeavor to adapt a similar concept for mountain biking, resulting in a chin bar that is not merely an attachment but an integral component of the helmet's structure. Unlike conventional designs that rely on bolts or joints, the Kru's titanium chin bar is fully integrated, ensuring enhanced structural integrity and maintaining the helmet's overall strength. This comprehensive integration was a significant engineering challenge, requiring extreme precision in manufacturing to fuse the titanium seamlessly within the molding process.

Beyond its innovative titanium chin bar, the Kali Kru helmet incorporates several advanced safety technologies. It utilizes Kali's proprietary Composite Fusion process, which directly fuses the EPS foam liner to the outer shell, eliminating gaps and maximizing impact absorption. This technique is reported to reduce G-force levels by up to 30% during a collision. Additionally, the helmet features Low Density Layers (LDL) of specially designed padding, strategically placed to mitigate rotational impacts by up to 25% and low-G linear impacts by up to 30%.
