Each year, we honor a 'Local Hero' and a 'Club of the Year', celebrating those who dedicate themselves to nurturing their local cycling scenes. These individuals and groups commit countless hours to coaching, organizing events, and managing operations, ensuring that fellow cyclists have abundant opportunities to ride and race.

Nomination Process and Timeline

If you know a person or a club deserving of such recognition, we encourage you to submit a nomination. The process is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. Submissions are open until October 30. Following this, a shortlist will be presented to our judging panel, who will then select the ultimate winners. The award recipients will be unveiled on December 3rd, alongside the '2026 Riders of the Year'.

Criteria for Club of the Year Excellence

To be considered for the 'Club of the Year' award, clubs must demonstrate an exceptional commitment to their existing members while actively welcoming and developing newcomers in a secure and encouraging setting. 'Development' encompasses a broad spectrum, from enhancing fitness and refining racing techniques to acquiring new skills or even achieving cycling qualifications.

Beyond Membership: Impact on the Wider Community

A distinguished club will consistently host events for its members and frequently organize larger gatherings for the broader cycling community. This could include major races, sportives, local racing series, or regular coaching workshops. Ultimately, we seek a club that ignites a passion for cycling and instills a deep love for the sport in its participants.
