Jim Gregory, for instance, has powered a portion of his home office with a Pedal PC for over 14 years, generating a modest 0.25 kWh daily, primarily for exercise, warmth, and as a backup during power outages. More commercially, London's Revolt Cycling studio integrates Energym's Re:Gen bikes to convert riders' mechanical energy into electricity, contributing to the building's power supply and offering a tangible incentive for participants by showing their energy output on screens.

As energy costs continue to fluctuate and global events impact market stability, the concept of pedal-powered electricity, while not a complete solution, is gaining traction for its motivational and sustainability aspects. The shift in consumer expectations toward eco-conscious brands means that integrating energy generation into exercise equipment could become a valued feature. The current impact of individual pedal power on household energy bills may be minimal, but its value lies in making energy visible and connecting physical effort with a positive environmental outcome.
