"We knew the final lap, we did it three times, and I knew the sprint was going to be tough because of the climbs before. It was indeed a super-fast climb with a tailwind. The sprint was pretty much headwind and quite downhill, so you couldn't be too much in front. I was, the last corner, too much in front, and suddenly some guys came, and they were too early, and that was an advantage for me." He further added that while the final ascent of Vuillens didn't create significant time gaps, it certainly tested the riders' endurance. "If you go over the limit then for sure it's hard to do a good sprint. Luckily for me, it was under control and I could still do a good sprint." This latest victory marks Pogačar's second consecutive stage win, solidifying his position in the yellow jersey and leaving many to wonder if he can maintain this exceptional form through the remaining three stages of the tour.
