Salsa Introduces Flyway, a New Performance Gravel Bicycle

Salsa Cycles has introduced its latest innovation, the Flyway, a new carbon gravel bike designed to succeed the well-regarded Warbird. This fifth-generation platform represents a significant step forward, aiming to seamlessly integrate high performance with exceptional comfort and extensive carrying capabilities. The Flyway is engineered to cater to a broad spectrum of gravel cycling enthusiasts, accommodating everything from demanding competitive races to extensive, adventurous explorations. Timed with the Mid South gravel event in Oklahoma, the official debut of the Flyway follows successful early trials. Notably, endurance athletes Matt Acker and Jill Martindale previously rode preliminary versions of the Flyway to victory in the men's category and achieved the fastest known time for women at the Mega Mid South event last autumn. Further innovations include a cleaner aesthetic and improved functionality through an IS52 head tube and FSA headset system, allowing for integrated or semi-integrated cable routing. The Flyway also features a quick list of specifications, including tyre clearance for 700c x 50mm in the frame and 700 x 57 in the fork, suspension correction for 40mm gravel forks, a Class 5 VRS™ system that is 20% more compliant than the Warbird, UDH compatibility, a T47 Bottom Bracket, and compatibility with both 2x (electronic only) and 1x drivetrains, along with ample mounts for bags and rear rack compatibility.
