Specialized Unveils Levo 4 X for Bikepacking: An Electric Overland Evolution

Specialized has expanded its Levo 4 electric mountain bike series with the introduction of the Levo 4 X, a new model specifically engineered for bikepacking and what the company terms 'Electric Overland' exploration. This latest iteration transforms the robust Levo 4 platform by incorporating practical carrying solutions, enhancing its utility beyond traditional trail riding. The Levo 4 X is presented as a versatile machine, ready to tackle extended journeys while retaining the high-performance attributes expected from a Specialized e-MTB.

Building upon the proven Levo 4 chassis, known for its trail-taming 150mm rear and 160mm front suspension, the Levo 4 X distinguishes itself with the addition of a comprehensive rack system. This system provides an impressive total carrying capacity of up to 22kg, distributed between a 10kg front rack and a 12kg rear rack, both featuring MIK 3-pin compatibility for easy accessory attachment. A significant advantage for current Specialized enthusiasts is the availability of these racks as aftermarket components, allowing owners of existing Levo or Levo R models to upgrade their bikes for enhanced commuting or bikepacking capabilities.
