The C72 is meticulously hand-built in Cambiago, Italy, reflecting the brand's 'Perfectly Composed' design philosophy, which emphasizes a multi-piece construction process to achieve exceptional precision in stiffness, compliance, and force distribution.

The C72 marks a significant evolution in Colnago's C Series, continuing a legacy that has seen legendary cyclists like Eddy Merckx and Tadej Pogačar achieve greatness on their frames. The unveiling at Milan's historic opera house underscored the bike's status as a prestigious, high-performance machine. The design incorporates a sophisticated lug system, a newly conceptualized CC.02 cockpit with an integrated seatpost for enhanced aerodynamics and adjustability, and an ingeniously concealed storage compartment within the downtube, marrying practicality with elegant design.

Production of the C72 is limited to 3,000 units annually, underscoring its exclusivity. Additionally, a hyper-limited edition, the C72 La Scala, draws inspiration from the iconic red, gold, and white aesthetics of the Teatro alla Scala. Only 72 of these collector's items exist, each individually numbered and valued at a premium of €22,000 (over £19,000).
